The therapist will layer medical grade ultrasound gel over the treatment site and begin with circular movements of the ultrasonic device directly onto the gel covered zone. The applicator remains on the treatment area for a specified amount of time and this may be repeated in the same area up to 4 times.
Some people may feel cold, heat, prickling, discomfort, tingling and stinging.
This causes no harm and stops as soon as the applicator is moved away from body.
After the procedure:
- Following the procedure, your skin will return to normal immediately and you may resume activities.
- Rarely, one may experience redness, excessive thirst, and nausea or headaches immediately after the treatment which is easily resolved by drinking water.
